My attention

In his book The Secret of the Ages Robert Collier wrote "That which I give my attention reveals itself."

If you think for a moment about this quote you will see something very basic to your life and the law of attraction.

If you give your attention to something you can cause it to come into your life. Let's look at the idea of finding a new job. You would think someone was ridiculous if they said that they were trying to find a new job yet they had not actually looked for a new job. You can't "find" something unless you start to look for it. This concept works in everything you apply it to.

You cannot find a new soul mate if you are not looking for them. If you merely leave work, go home, turn on the t.v., eat dinner, fall sleep and do it all over again the next day; you will live alone forever. The chance that some wonderful person will drop out of the sky into your living room is next to nothing. If you want to meet people you have to go online, go to a social gathering, go to the park or ask your friends to put the word out. Simply put, you need to focus your attention on every possible way you can attract a mate and take ACTION on those ideas. Eventually one of your many avenues will pay off.

This brings us to the next part. You have to continue to focus your attention until you have the thing you want. Don't stop trying to find a new job or a new mate until you have achieved your objective. If you stop trying you stay in the old job and stay by yourself.

This works for other aspects of your life like finances as well. Instead of thinking about debt, you should think of "how can I make more money." Thinking about debt does nothing to fix the problem. The only way to fix the problem is to create a solution. Focus your ATTENTION [there's that word again] on the thing you WANT, not on what you DON'T WANT.

If you sat for 30 minutes every day for a week and really thought about how you could make more money I am positive that you would come up with a few brillant ideas. These ideas can be so simple. If you are already picking your children up from school you could add a few more kids to the car and start a soccer mom driving service. If you have your own business you could focus on building more customers, maybe a mailing or a free giveaway.

The point is to focus on and give time and attention to what you really want. If you never stare that goal in the mirror and give it the place it deserves, it will fade away. Spare a little time each day to thinking about your goals. Over time those moments will add up and you will be closer then you ever thought possible to the things which you desire most in your life.

What this blog will cover.

Welcome,

We are so happy to have you reading our blog. We will be discussing how to change your life through the works of great authors like Napolean Hill, Bob Proctor, Earl Nightingale, Bruce Barton, Ralph Waldo Emerson, and many others.

Personal development is the most important subject any person can devote their time to. Often however authors present profound ideas without giving the reader a mechanism or a logical way to apply the information to their daily lives. These authors write simple sentences that hold enough information to write a novel on. This blog will capture some of these fantastic "Wealth Pearls" and devote space to explaining and expanding on the authors' ideas.

We will dive into the "Law of Attraction" as presented in the movie "The Secret" and many of the author's books listed above.

Our sincere hope is that you come away from reading these postings richer in spirit and more capable of achieving great things.

"Nothing splendid was ever achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside themselves was superior to circumstance." Bruce Barton
